Dear Friends,

When I went to Washington, I made it clear that I would continue to engage with my community every time I am home in PA-06. That's why I'm hosting my 9th town hall on Monday, July 29th at 6:30pm. Hearing from you directly helps me best serve our community, so I would be honored to have you join us.

 ...

I recently wrapped up another busy week here in the district. Check out what our office has been up to:

On the 4th of July, I honored Vietnam veterans as well as the 22 Revolutionary Soldiers who lost their lives here in East Vincent. I thanked all who have served this country and bravely stood for our freedoms here and around the world.
Rep. Houlahan speaks about service and sacrifice at the Revolutionary Soldiers Cemetery in East Vincent, where 22 soldiers from the Revolutionary War are buried.

I announced my infrastructure priorities in Berks County alongside state and industry stakeholders at the Reading Penn Street Bridge, a “poor-rated” bridge that carries high volumes of commuters over the Schuylkill River. The local landmark is currently undergoing a rehabilitation project, 80% of which is federally funded. I urged Congress to take swift action on our infrastructure system, an issue that affects the entire country. Check out my full statement here
Rep. Houlahan convenes state and industry stakeholders at Reading's Penn Street Bridge to call for federal infrastructure investment. Also speaking was Bob Latham of the Associated Pennsylvania Constructors. From left to right, State Sen, Judy Schwank, Gail Landis of the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce, George McAuley of PennDOT, Bob Wright of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and Eric Frary of the American Council of Engineering Companies.

I visited the Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) in Chester County, which works to meet the health care needs of uninsured adults, children and seniors who would otherwise have nowhere else to turn for care. Patients come from every zip code in the Chester County, Pennsylvania region to CVIM. Afterwards, I spoke about my experience on the House Floor. My message was clear: "We need to work together, both sides of the aisle, to help lower the astronomical costs of prescription drugs for people across our country." Watch my full remarks here
Rep. Houlahan advocates for bipartisan legislation to lower prescription drug prices and shares her experience visiting the Community Volunteers in Medicine center in PA-06.

As always, please subscribe to this e-newsletter to keep up with our many events and the legislative work we're accomplishing for Pennsylvanians.

Respectfully,
