I’ve held events on community resources, tax preparation, and internet access so far this year, as well as held my annual State of the Sixth address. This next conversation will be focused on foreign policy and our country’s national security. From the war in Ukraine to China’s growing engagement around the world, I know these topics may seem remote, but they do impact us, and I want to answer your questions on these issues. I will be joined by Andrew Albertson, executive director for Foreign Policy for America and Liz Schrayer, president and CEO of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition. If you are interested in attending, you do not need to RSVP, just call (855) 731-4616 at the time of the event to join! You can join us live by calling (855) 731-4616 or  going to houlahan.house.gov/live at 5 p.m. on May 31. Bipartisan good news from D.C.: This week, my colleagues and I voted in an overwhelmingly bipartisan way, to pass the China Financial Threat Mitigation Act. This legislation was introduced by my friend, Representative Abigail Spanberger, who serves with me on the House Intelligence Committee. Her bill requires the Treasury Department to assess the potential exposure the United States may have to financial risk from China's financial sector, and to recommend safeguards to help protect our economic systems from possible interference from the Chinese government. Constituent Success Story: “I was panicked about the additional lead time for an expedited passport but your staff helped and I received my passport with five days to spare. I am very grateful to the staff for staying in steady communication with me and not getting flustered. He assured me he was working to advocate on my behalf. He did in fact truly prioritize my case during a critical time so I could take part in a needed business trip for my company. This process and the Houlahan staff were trustworthy in a difficult situation which means so much!” - Ashley, Chester Springs. If you need help with a federal agency, contact my office at houlahan.house.gov/services/casework. Serving as our community's representative is the honor of my lifetime, and I hope to hear from you soon about any issue that concerns you.  As always, please contact my office if you need assistance. Be well and see you soon! Chrissy Houlahan U.S. Member of Congress
