Just two weeks from today, thousands of Pennsylvanians will head to the polls for the November 2 Election. But for thousands more who are voting by mail (like me!) or voting early in person, the election process is well under way. The truth is this: there are more ways to vote safely than ever before. And while we must continue the hard work of ensuring those avenues are accessible to all eligible voters, I write this message with firm confidence in our election system and in you, the voters. As one of the most civically engaged communities in the Commonwealth, there's one thing we know to be true -- local elections matter.In this e-newsletter, I break down voting by county (Chester and Berks), ensuring you can vote with confidence no matter where you live or how you decide to vote. Your Voice Is Your Vote - Make It Heard! While the deadline to register to vote in the November 2 Election has passed, our next election will be here before we know it. If you haven't registered yet or need to update your information, do so here so you can help effect change in our community. If you're an eligible voter in our community, please read the information specific to your county below: Voting in Chester County Voters choosing to vote by mail in Chester County may complete an official mail-in ballot or absentee ballot request. Using the return envelope supplied, send your ballot to the Chester County Election Office located at Government Services Center, 601 Westtown Rd, West Chester, PA 19382. Ballots can also be returned in person to the election office. Voters can also return ballots at several secure drop box locations around Chester County. You can find a location nearest to you here. Remember, absentee and mail-in ballots must be requested by 5 p.m. on October 26, and all ballots must be received by the county election board by 8 p.m. on November 2. Of course, you also have the option to vote in person on Election Day at the polling location for your precinct. You can confirm your polling location here. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. No matter how you vote, be sure to make your voice heard. State and local elections impact our community, which is why it is important vote this upcoming election on November 2. Voting in Berks County Voters choosing to vote by mail in Berks County may complete an official mail-in ballot or absentee ballot request. Using the return envelope supplied, send your ballot to the Berks County Election Office located at 633 Court St 1st Fl Reading, PA 19601. Ballots can also be returned in person to the election office. Voters can also return ballots at secure drop box locations. The two drop boxes in Berks County are located at Services Center, 633 Court St., 1st Floor, Reading, PA 19601 or Agricultural Center and 1238 County Welfare Rd., Leesport, PA 19533. Absentee and mail-in ballots must be requested by 5 p.m. October 26, and all ballots must be received by the county election board by 8 p.m. on November 2. Likewise, Berks County voters have the option to vote in person on Election Day at their polling location. IMPORTANT: Some polling locations in Berks County have changed. Please confirm your polling location here. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Accessible Voting and Volunteer Opportunities Everyone deserves easy access to the ballot box, regardless of their ability status.
