Each month, I host a town hall to hear from members of our community on the issues that matter most to you. Usually, these town halls are on a specific topic, but last month, I had a “catch-all" town hall where participants could ask me questions about literally anything. The event was so well-received that I decided to do it again this month.

This town hall will be held via telephone on Thursday, July 18, at noon. To join me on your lunch break, please find instructions below.

Bipartisan Good News

Congress acting in a bipartisan manner isn’t something that usually makes headlines, but it happens more often than you might think in Washington, DC. Last week, the House passed a bill that strengthens cooperation between the U.S. and Mexican law enforcement to curb the trafficking of fentanyl and other synthetic opioids. This bill, H.R. 2789, American Cooperation With Our Neighbors Act, passed in an overwhelmingly bipartisan manner, with 368 Congress members voting for it and only 19 Congress members against it. This was one bipartisan step in the right direction toward curbing our fentanyl crisis.

How We Helped a Member of our Community

Matthew from Chester Springs was having difficulties accessing a form from the Social Security Administration to request student loan forgiveness for his son. After working unsuccessfully for three years to obtain it, he contacted our office, and we were able to get it.
