COVID-19: Should Schools Reopen In The Fall? | U.S. Representative Chrissy Houlahan

Hi, it's Chrissy.

As we inch closer to fall and see COVID-19 cases increasing across the country, we are faced with an important and difficult question regarding our children. Should schools fully reopen? As a mother and former educator, this question weighs heavily on me. As our community's representative in Congress, it's my job to measure and weigh the needs of our community and respond. I want to hear from you.

I have cosponsored the bipartisan Protect our Children from COVID-19 Act, which requires the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to study the role of children in transmitting the virus that causes COVID-19 and use its findings to share best practices for protecting children and adults from the disease in educational settings.
