Representative Houlahan, Chairman Smith, Chairwoman Maloney, And Labor Leaders Hold Press Conference To Announce Paid Parental Leave Legislation

WASHINGTON – Today, Representative Chrissy Houlahan will join a press conference with House Armed Services Committee Chairman Adam Smith (D-WA), Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), and labor leaders to discuss their paid parental leave provision in the final conference report for the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020.

Houlahan is an Air Force veteran, an engineer, a serial entrepreneur, an educator, and a nonprofit leader. She’s in her first term representing Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District, which encompasses Chester County and southern Berks County. She serves on the House Armed Services Committee, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and the House Small Business Committee.
