WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) issued the following statement after learning the House's food services vendor, Soxedo, will offer alcohol delivery and that the House Center for Well-Being will make Peloton Corporate Wellness benefits available to House staff:

“High stress and long hours are the norm for those working in Congress, which includes our U.S. Capitol Police. These past couple years have been especially hard, and I support efforts to improve the wellness of all workers in the Capitol Complex. I do not, however, believe that alcohol delivery and free Peloton memberships are a good idea when so many Americans are hurting. Our priority must remain on addressing inflation so that all Americans, including those working in our nation’s capital, have the opportunity to use these services on their own dime and not the taxpayers’.”
