Houlahan Invites Public to Tax Preparation Telephone Town Hall

West Chester, March 14, 2023

West Chester, PA – Today, Representative Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) announced the details of her Tax Preparation Telephone Town Hall, which is scheduled for Tuesday, March 21st at 5:00 p.m. The event is focused on preparing community members for filing their taxes and answering questions constituents may have related to tax season. Houlahan will be joined by Edwina Johnson of United Way of Chester County, and Bill Pierce of Brandywine Valley Active Aging. Both community leaders will be available to answer questions and provide information for residents. 

“Understanding our tax system can be a little difficult, which is why I wanted to be a resource and work with local organizations to provide constituents some of the tools needed to navigate tax season,” said Houlahan. “I’m looking forward to speaking with residents of Berks and Chester Counties on this important topic.”

This will be Houlahan’s 71st town hall since serving as the representative for Pennsylvania’s Sixth Congressional District.

Houlahan is an Air Force veteran, an engineer, a serial entrepreneur, an educator, and a nonprofit leader. She represents Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District, which encompasses Chester County and southern Berks County. She serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. She is the recipient of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award which “recognizes members who demonstrate the bipartisan leadership and constructive governing necessary to move our country forward” and the Congressional Management Foundation’s 2022 Democracy Award for best Constituent Services in Congress.
