WEST CHESTER, PA – Today, Representative Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) invited constituents from Berks and Chester Counties to her 84th town hall at St. Paul's Baptist Church in West Chester on Saturday, March 16. The town hall will take place at 1 p.m. and will focus on public service. It will be followed by a resource fair at 2 p.m. The event will be moderated by Rev. Dr. Wayne E. Croft Sr., Pastor of St. Paul's Baptist Church, and will feature three panelists: Michael D. Smith, President of AmeriCorps, Captain Howard Crawford (ret. – USAF), Commander of American Legion Post 134 in West Chester, and Kelly Young, an AmeriCorps alum who works with LegalAid in West Chester. The moderator and panelists will join Houlahan for a question-and-answer session. "As a veteran and a Corps member of AmeriCorps’ Teach for America program, I can say that my service experiences positively shaped who I am as a proud American and now a Member of Congress. Service organizations like our military and AmeriCorps make our communities whole and help us care for one another," said Houlahan. "That's why I was inspired to host this event to help members of our community who want to have a career in public service find opportunities that fit their passion and purpose. I hope to see neighbors of all ages come out for information and leave with a newfound understanding of how they can participate in public service." Organizations participating in the resource fair:
