The Mercury - Houlahan sworn in to 6th Congressional District

Democrat Chrissy Houlahan was sworn in Thursday, Jan. 3, to represent Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District in the 116th Congress.

“It is truly an honor to serve in Congress on behalf of Pennsylvania’s 6th District and I look forward to getting to work to fight on behalf all my constituents,” said Houlahan.


“I am excited to continue my career of service. One of the first steps we must take is restoring a functioning government. I look forward to working in the new Congress on a bi-partisan basis and fighting for Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District on crucial legislative items including expanding access to affordable and quality healthcare, bringing good jobs with good benefits to our community, passing commonsense gun safety measures, fixing our broken immigration system, and taking care of our veterans.”

Rep. Chrissy Houlahan is an Air Force veteran, an engineer, a serial entrepreneur, an educator, and a nonprofit leader. She’s in her first term representing Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District which encompasses Chester County, southern Berks County and the City of Reading.
