Rep. Houlahan to Hold Press Conference with Women in the Services Coalition

Female Veterans Gather to Press Administration for Fair Treatment and Opportunities

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (PA-06) will join a large group of veterans to hold a press conference tomorrow in conjunction with the Women In the Services Coalition (WiSCI) to express their support for women in the military and demand the end to the Trump Administration’s erasure of their accomplishments and historic contributions. Specifically, Reps. Houlahan, Goodlander and Deluzio and representatives of WiSCI will address recent Administration actions and executive orders designed to sideline women in the military, undermine senior female leaders and minimize or demolish many of the programs that support and protect women in the military. 

  • Safeguarding women’s opportunities in the US Military 

  • Protecting and preserving the legacy of women in service 

  • Defending women in military leadership 

  • Strengthening sexual assault prevention and response

Mary Tobin, 2003 West Point graduate, served 10 years in the US Army as communications officer including two combat tours. Current vice president of programs at More Perfect Union.
