WASHINGTON, D.C. — In response to new anti-veteran comments by Pennsylvania Republican Scott Perry (PA-10) who smeared the veterans he represents due to their political party, Democratic Veterans Caucus co-chairs Congressmen Chris Deluzio (PA-17) and Pat Ryan (NY-18), along with twelve caucus members and veterans Congressman Ted Lieu (CA-36); Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan (PA-06); Congressman Derek Tran (CA-45); Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06); Congressman Herb Conaway (NJ-03); Congressman Eugene Vindman (VA-07); Congressman Salud Carbajal (CA-24); Congressman Mike Thompson (CA-04); Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander (NH-02); Congressman Bobby Scott (VA-03); Congressman Seth Moulton (MA-06); and Congressman Gil Cisneros (CA-31), released the following joint statement: “It’s disgusting to see a sitting member of Congress attack the integrity and honor of veterans and servicemembers due to their political party. He should immediately apologize to his constituents for insulting their service and questioning their patriotism. “We refuse to take a lecture about military service or our love of country from an oath-breaker like Scott Perry who tried to throw out the votes of millions of Americans to try and steal an election. “Scott Perry represents thousands of Democratic veterans, and still he disrespects their service—insulting them behind their backs on the radio but refusing to have an in-person town hall. “If he had a spine he’d stand in front of the Democratic veterans he represents and say this garbage to their faces, but Scott Perry doesn’t have the guts.” ### |
