Non-Partisan Lugar Center Names Rep. Houlahan Among Top 20% Most Bipartisan Members of Congress

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Representative Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) issued the following statement after a report released by the non-partisan Lugar Center ranked her as one of the most bipartisan members of Congress:
“As a veteran in Congress, I understand I swore an oath to defend the Constitution, not a political party,” said Houlahan. “My purple, pragmatic community in Chester and Berks counties is not as worried about whether there is an ‘R’ or a ‘D’ at the end of my name – they want to see me working across the aisle to deliver on the issues that are top of mind for them: inflation, health care, immigration, education, and more. I’m extremely proud to be named among the most bipartisan members of Congress by the non-partisan Lugar Center, and I look forward to continuing my commitment to bipartisanship in the weeks and months to come.”
Each year, the Lugar Center and Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy produce a non-partisan, objective ranking of how often each Member of Congress works across the aisle.
