Houlahan Invites Public to Internet and Broadband Equity Town Hall

West Chester, PA – Today, Representative Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) announced the details of her 72nd town hall, scheduled for this Friday, March 31st at 10 a.m. The event is focused on broadband and internet access and will highlight the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program and how members of our community can benefit from it. Houlahan will be joined by Pam Frontino of Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority, Nicole Ugarte of National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), and Melissa Piccoli of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Houlahan and special guests will answer audience questions and provide information for residents of Chester and Berks Counties. 

“Fast and reliable broadband and internet are necessary components of modern life, and I am committed to ensuring no one in our community is left behind,” said Houlahan. “I look forward to speaking with community members on this topic and helping close the gap in broadband equity that affects the entire country and our region.”

This will be Houlahan’s 72nd town hall since serving as the representative for Pennsylvania’s Sixth Congressional District.

 Houlahan is an Air Force veteran, an engineer, a serial entrepreneur, an educator, and a nonprofit leader. She represents Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District, which encompasses Chester County and southern Berks County. She serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. She is the recipient of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award which “recognizes members who demonstrate the bipartisan leadership and constructive governing necessary to move our country forward” and the Congressional Management Foundation’s 2022 Democracy Award for best Constituent Services in Congress.
