Houlahan Announces Telephone Town Hall Ahead of Potential Government Shutdown

The deadline to pass a new spending agreement is this Friday, November 17.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Representative Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) announced the details of her upcoming town hall, scheduled for Friday, November 17 at 9:30 a.m. The telephone town hall will focus on the latest news coming out of Congress regarding funding the federal government, reauthorizing the Farm Bill, passing the annual defense bill, and more. As always, Rep. Houlahan will be taking live questions during the event.

“I continue to hear from members of my community who are frustrated by the dysfunction in Congress – I want them to know I’m frustrated, too,” said Houlahan. “Hidden within all the outward chaos, however, is a consensus among moderate Democrats and Republicans that we must stop wasting time and pass a bipartisan spending bill. We know that when party extremists win, everyday Americans and Pennsylvanians lose. During this call, I will answer my constituents’ questions about how I’m making sure we get back to the legislative work that matters to Chester and Berks Counties.”

This will be Houlahan’s 80th town hall since serving as the representative for Pennsylvania’s Sixth Congressional District.
