Houlahan to Host Family-Focused Town Hall in Kennett Square

The event, her 83rd town hall, takes place this Monday, February 12

KENNETT SQUARE, PA – Today, Representative Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) announced the details of her next town hall, happening on Monday, February 12, at 6 p.m. at the Kennett Library. This event is Houlahan’s 83rd town hall since joining Congress and will be focused on the federal resources that support families and children. Houlahan will give a legislative update on her work, followed by a Q&A discussion moderated by Kennett Library Executive Director Chris Manna.

“Since joining Congress, helping children and families has been a top priority of mine, and I’m proud of the progress we’ve made the past five years,” said Houlahan. “Expanding paid family leave, caring for mothers and infant nutrition, and ensuring our students acquire the necessary skills to succeed in our economy, have all been things I’ve championed on behalf of our community in Chester and Berks Counties. I look forward to sharing more about my efforts and what I’m working on – and hearing our community’s questions – at my next town hall in Kennett Square.”

This event comes after the House of Representatives passed an overwhelmingly bipartisan tax package, the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act. The bill, which Houlahan proudly supported, would expand the Child Tax Credit to 26,000 children in Chester and Berks Counties.
