READING, Pa. - Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) made her way to Reading Monday morning on a visit to Reading Area Community College (RACC.)

Houlahan got an up-close look at how more than a million dollars that she helped secure is being spent.

The money is being used to enhance the Schmidt Training and Technology Center and Kratz Hall.

Houlahan says that will help strengthen the county's workforce.

"I get the opportunity to see our community being able to have the jobs of today, as I said, and of tomorrow, and we are then able to compete not only with our region but also with the world because we are ready for those jobs," the congresswoman said.

Houlahan helped get the money through the Community Project Funding Program.
