When I was serving in uniform in the Air Force, we treated all people with respect because we knew every person in the room was a patriot and loved this great nation. I carry this same belief with me in the Halls of Congress. While I may not always agree with my colleagues, I will continue to seek out common ground and reach across the aisle to deliver for the families of Chester and Berks Counties and for all Americans. To my core, I know I was sent down to Washington to deliver for our community, and that’s exactly what I’ll continue to do. To that end, I’m a proud member of the Problem Solvers Caucus, a bipartisan group of members – equally Democrat and Republican – that work to get legislation across the finish line. We were instrumental in the passage of the generation-defining Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and continue to advance key policies to address issues that are top of mind for Pennsylvanians. I believe bipartisanship is a crucial part of civility in Congress. I’m extremely proud to be named among the most bipartisan members of Congress by the non-partisan Lugar Center, and I look forward to continuing my commitment to bipartisanship in the weeks and months to come. Here in Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District, we are a purple community - not Republican red or Democrat blue. I understand that as our Representative, I am sworn to represent our priorities, not a particular political party. That means that hearing directly from you is one of the most important parts of serving our community. To that end, I’ve held more town halls than any other member of the Pennsylvania delegation and promise to continue being as transparent and accessible as possible. |
